Today while I was thrifting I came across a bag full of, what looked like doll house parts. Very messy thrown in...the bag was not big enough to hold all the pieces so it was taped to the larger piece to seal the bag shut. For $1 I thought the risk was worth it, not knowing what I would find in the mess.
Boy was I shocked when I finally pieced it all together to look like this! It is a complete doll house! With all the people and furniture...in fantastic condition! All for $1!!!!
Look at how beautiful it is!
Found this picture of the original box on the internet. Made in Hong Kong Blue Box 1980 is written on the bottom of the house. I think the box says Carly Home Doll House with Furniture 32 pieces.

I love this house! I always wanted a doll house when I was a little girl! This is my first! I told the kids hands off it is mine! :)
Lets take a look inside! This is the layout featured on the box. I like how they have the tv at the dinner table.
The Dining/Living room |
I would love to have this room as my bedroom!
Master Bedroom |
But I like to change it up! That is what having a doll house is all about!
I like the living room on the upper floor.
Jane playing piano. Dick watching tv. |
The bedroom at the side...The kids don't get a room in this house.
Mother still putting on her face. |
The entry hall is now more useful!
Father has an office now! |
Bathroom. |
I love my new find!
Good Night! |
That is SUCH a major score!! I found a 1960s Lundy and a 1930s Marx and the furniture to buy is very pricy!! Go you!
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I can't believe this was one dollar! Don't you wish you could rearrange your house so easily!!? How happy Dick and Jane must be out of that bag and being played with... Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun find! and so worth the $1.00. I love a good dollar risk.
