Thrift Share Monday! - Some Gifts

I buy people used gifts.  I have for many, many years.  Sometimes the recipient knows and other times they may not.  When you are a one income family sometimes you have to be a bit more creative, but I also like to think that we are helping the environment by reusing.

This Weeks Finds

Thrift shopping this past week, I found some gifts for my son to tuck away in the closet for his birthday.  First I found a set of 2 nautical themed glasses(.49cents each!).  My son is really into ships right now!  I know he will just love these!  I will have to find something fun to put inside them!

My son also love story books of adventures on the sea!  So I picked him up this brand new looking book, also found a book for my daughter!  Both looking brand new never read(.99cents each).
Many of the gifts I give children are books!  I can often find brand new looking books at the thrift store.

I found this fun looking board game for my daughters birthday..who happens to be turning 13 on a 13th day!  My kids love playing board games and I know she will just love this one! $1..99

And a gift for me!  This Pyrex gravy boat plate matches a bowl I currently own...maybe one day I will find the gravy boat...but if not I am sure to find a use for this plate!  I just love the print! .99cents

Also found a new looking pair of grey snow pants(4.99) for my son, for next year...you never can have to many sets of snow pants where we live!

Not a thrift find....but worth mentioning, I also found this Make Your own OPOLY game for $11. at my local Winners!  How fun is that!

I never realized that the Pyrex piece you got is a gravy boat plate...I have two of them (in a different pattern) and I use them as soap dishes in my bathroom :)

Cool finds!

Where I live, we only get snow every 2-3 years, so when I was little, we were always looking for snow pants in all sizes to have on hand just in case this was one of those years. I have a gravy boat underplate too. I used it to hold the cylinder of jelled cranberry at Thanksgiving :)
