Crazy Daisy Spring Blossom Love!!!!

I couldn't believe my luck!  When I found these Pyrex Crazy Daisy Spring Blossom mugs!  I love love this pattern!  I have been dreaming about finding these.  Hmmm maybe the secret really works?  So I was ecstatic to find 8 of these mugs in perfect condition!!!  I was crazy happy...Then I noticed the lady with the put away trolly walking by me as I was hurriedly grabbing up all these mugs...And lo and behold look what was on it...Crazy Daisy Spring Blossom Cinderella round casserole dish with the lid!!!!  AHHHH!  So I said "excuse me" to the lady and grabbed it right off her trolly.  "I will take this!"  I am sure she is used to crazed women grabbing items off her cart before they make it to the shelves????
And then on the next shelf I found the small bowls with the same pattern!  WooHoo!

Now I did find my self going out of my way to check the lady's put away trolly through out my shopping trip. I am sure she didn't notice me always making my way to check her trolly when she came out of the back???  Oh I really hope I didn't miss anymore pieces to the set!

The mugs were .49cents each
The Casserole dish 2.99
The bowls .49cents each

I just had to grab up the Pyrex Butterfly Gold mugs too!  They looked so lonely with out their friends.  My daughter loves this design so I am thinking of collecting this design for her hope chest.

The Jamanji game was a great find too!  Perfect condition, all the pieces are there!  The kids will just love this game!  At 1.99 it just had to come home with me!

I also found 4 magazines at .99cents each.

The Goonies

I love, love this movie! It is different watching it as a grown up. I was shocked at the bad language the kids were using. But other than that...I think this is the best family movie ever!  This movie is an adventure film about a group of kids that find a treasure map, and their journey to find the rich stuff. There are bad guys, and booby traps, and a real pirate ship!  Comedy for parent and kids!  If you are looking for a movie to have for a family night give Goonies a try...your kids will love it, and you will too!

One Eyed Willie's ship, The Inferno, was 105 feet long and took 2-1/2 months to construct. It was modeled after Erroll Flynn's ship in The Sea Hawk (1940). The sails required more than than 7,000 square feet of material. Some of the ship's rigging was recycled from the Pirates of the Caribbean ship at Disneyland, which was being renovated at the time. All the shots were filmed in the ship. After the film, it was offered to anyone who would take it. No one wanted it, so the ship was scrapped.

June 7th was officially declared "Goonies Day" by the Mayor of Astoria (where the movie was filmed) during the 25th Anniversary Celebration in 2010.  It just happens that June 7th is my sons birthday, this year we are going to have a Goonies themed party!  I can't wait to start planning!

I am such a Cyndi Lauper fan!  this music video is long and in 2 parts...I LOVE IT!

5 Question Friday!

IT IS TIME FOR FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY!

1. Have you worn the same outfit more than one day in a row?
Sure...it happens.  What can you do if it is laundry day or you need throw something on quick and all you can find are yesterdays clothes  :)

2. If you had to choose any LARGE city to live in, which would it be?
Hmmm...This is tough because I prefer small towns.  But if I did have to  choose I would pick Honolulu.  It would be like being on vacation every day!  Mmmmm I miss sunshine and warmth................

3. Fly or drive with the kids on vacation?
Drive!  We love road trips!  My kids are older, so they don't complain so much about long car rides.  Last summer we went on a 2 week long road trip to Nova Scotia and we all had a blast!  We camped with all our gear in that small trailer!  It was a pain to put the tent up and take down everyday.....We are hoping to buy a camper this year!

4. What is your idea of "spring cleaning"?
I can't think about that now...still doing winter cleaning.  So much snow!  We are still digging out...but now it is starting to melt....arg yuck!

5. What is the best book you have ever read?
The Time Travelers Wife - Audrey Niffenegger - I just loved this book, it is so well written...and way better than the movie.

Also enjoyed The Notebook by Nicolas Sparks!

And if you listen to Audio books you just have to get Bridget Jones Diary - Helen Fielding.
Omg she is just to funny!  I mean laugh out load..pee pants funny!  I can listen to this book over and over in the car when I drive!

3.  I have to force myself to eat fruit...I would rather eat veggies instead.  Unless someone else will wash and prepare it...but than some times I take a bite out of a nice apple and think why don't I do this more often?  It is so good!

Five Question Friday!

1. Would you rather be on ABC's Extreme Home MakeOver or TLC's What not to Wear?
I would love to have a house reno!  My house really could use a face lift.  But they choose really deserving families...and I wouldn't want to take that a way from anyone.  I have never seen What not to Wear?  So neither.

2. Do you have any tattoos?
Nope.  But if I did have to choose what I would like...it would definitely be a rose.

3. Do you tell your kids about things you did growing up?
All the time.

4. If the traffic signal turns yellow, do you stop or speed up?
I practice the point of no return if needed.

5. What's your preference: chocolate or chips?

DARK CHOCOLATE!!!!  With a glass of merlot!  Yummy!

These are some of my faves.  What are some of your favorite movies for Valentines Day?

Thrift Share Monday!

My favorite find this week!  A little kit to make a hooked rug!  This came from a gift shop in Nova Scotia, with an $8.95 price tag, found at my local thrift store for .99!
Our family drove thought Cheticamp N.S. this past summer.  I saw lots of these little craft kits in all the gift shops in N.S. and did regret not buying one...I was trying to find one at good price  :)  Now I have one!  I am going to make this for my son's Birthday!  It is just so perfect!  I love it!

The puzzle sphere was a find my daughter found!  .99!  She built it and it now lives in the living room!

I also found this Brand new Rummikub still in cello game for $5.  How fun is that!  We already own this game...but it is such a great game I am going to put it in the gift cupboard.
